Vegetarian recipe for boekoeloekoe sausage rolls in butter puff pastry
1) Grate the cheese, cut the onion and mix these with the rest of the ingredients (see front of the package) and this herbal mix. Make a smooth mixture.
2) Leave the mixture set in the fridge for 15 minutes.
3) Pre-heat the oven at 210 degrees.
4) Fill a piping bag with the mixture.
5) De-freeze the puff pastry and spread them out over the bench. Pipe the Boekoeloekoe mixture in the middle of the puff pastry.
6) Fold the puff pastry and cover the mixture with egg yolk for a nice gloss.
7) Bake the breads in approximately 15 minutes.
1 bag of boekoeloekoe mix is good for 8 rolls.
TIP: You can also make small snacks by cutting the rolls into 3 or 4 equal pieces before baking.
